What is the problem that has made you to stay down, or not rise again? Is it indebtedness? Is it business failure? Is it marital problem? Is it educational failure? Whatever problem it is, tell your enemy not to rejoice against you that you will rise again. Micah 7 verse 8 says “Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy when I fall, I shall arise when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me.

Are you pondering over how you shall arise, and how the LORD shall bring light into your darkness. Well, stop pondering. The word of God made us to know that “For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory, no good thing will be withhold from uprightly (Psalm 84 verse 11).

God will never withhold anything good from his children. Most of the things we see as problems are not. The point is that we hardly understand that they are the consequences of our sins. It is God’s own way of correcting us when we begin to leave unrighteously. The book of Hebrews 12 verses 5 to 6 say “…My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth”.

Sometimes when any of his child does wrong he will expose him or her. It is left for that child to repent. Whether that child repents or not is left to him or her. But if the child repents, the better. But if the child refuses to repent, there lies the problem.

When Samuel passed God’s warning and judgement to Eli for his negligence over the proper upbringing and correction of his children, Hopni and Phinehas, rather than repent, became adamant. Instead of repenting he arrogantly said God was free to do what he wanted to do. (Read 1 Samuel 3 verse 16 to 18).

Also, Elisha asked King Joash to strike the ground with his arrow, but rather than striking as many times as he could, he did it only three times. He accepted the situation. Are you accepting your situation the way it is, and seeing it as of no remedy? Do not act like Eli and Joash who refused to be repentant. Please do not relent. Speak to God he will hear you. Stop saying, “It is too late”, “It is impossible”, “I cannot make it” or “I have tried several times it did not work”. Numbers 14 verse 28, says “Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith the LORD, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you”.

Micah 7 verse 8 says you should tell your enemy that when you fall you will rise up. The point is that in this case you are the enemy because you refused to rise up. Luke 15 verse 17 to 20 told us of the prodigal son who fell and rose again after realizing his foolishness.

Those who succeed in life are those who refused to stay down. Why are you bothered. Take your problem to Jesus. He will surprise you. Pray harder and seek God face the more. He will surprise you miraculously. Whatsoever your problem is take it to him. The scripture says seven times a righteous man falls, seven times he rises up. Please do not give up. You shall rise again.
