21st century crisis

My younger brother's high school friend is getting married soon! In a matter of weeks! Good news? You are probably thinking 'what has that got to do with us?’ Well, you see my brother will be 20 next month, and he falls in the same age group with the girl in question. She's PREGNANT for her long time boyfriend and their folks are saying MARRIAGE! So I guess you see where the 'roof is leaking?'
A platform of several parties arose! Some say the couple should not have been forced to marriage considering their age and maturity, saying the marriage will never last! They still fall under the dependent group of the population! How on earth will they survive, except they depend on their folks! The story goes on and on. Others say the girl sure is not smart enough. Why would she leave the pregnancy? 'She should have taken care of it?' she has just ruined both their lives!!! I bet you can guess the age group of the latter group?!
When did it become like this? Whatever happened to words like ' why did she engage in a sexual relationship in the first place?' How about the no of lives that have been lost in the process of 'taking care of it?!' Where did it all go; conscience, respect and fear of life? To blazes! they have all been thrown away and replaced with recklessness, disregard, fearlessness and carelessness, not to mention the violence that is the 'topping' on the cake!!! Now, this is the party I belong to, it is a pity I’m the only one that belong to this school of thought and I’m sure a lot of you think "where the hell did this 'archaic chic' come from? Wake up it’s the 21st Century!"
Then I ask, whoever nick-named the 21st century as a generation of chaos and doom? This is my generation, remember? Why have we made it one our forefathers are glad they were never part of and sad that they reproduced? We live as it pleases us only, not bothered about the consequences of our actions, throwing caution to the air, the key word being FUN! But then do we ever think of the lives our ancestors lived? Sacrificial lives, not for their own good of fun for their 'children's children's children' future! Ever wondered where this generation will be if the previous ones made wrong decisions and took careless actions? NOWHERE!

Let me spell it out! A B O R T I O N. It needs no definition even an infant knows what it means. Because now, pregnancy has got two options; destroy it or deliver it! Gone are those days when the only option there is to pregnancy is delivery, so people don’t get pregnant unless they are ready to 'take care' of it in the right sense now! That is delivery and the responsibility that follows.
On a second thought ignorance is the reason for most of our society ills. So I’ll provide the definition in the subsequent issue, maybe, just maybe, realizing what it is to murder a life before it is even created, will instill some level of fear in us
